BELLY DANCE IS IDEAL ENTERTAINMENT FOR:

My performance at your celebration or event will usually involve about 10 to 15 minutes dancing at an appropriate time during the event. The timing will be discussed with you beforehand to work out what is best for your own celebration. I’m happy to encourage audience participation if you wish, but rest assured that guests who appear unwilling to dance are never pressurised! I use my own Middle Eastern CD music. Please be aware that currently I perform wearing a full-length decorated dress, rather than a traditional two-piece costume.
My fee
As each party is unique, I work out my fee once I have more detail.
My fee will be based on my performance time along with travelling time to and from my home.
Belly Dance Fun Lesson
GREAT FOR “HEN NIGHT”, MENDHI PARTY OR JUST “GIRLS NIGHT IN”
My fee £110.00 Plus travelling expenses
This includes:
- A fun lesson lasting around 50 minutes to 1 hour using fantastic music.
- Learn some basic movements
- Learn how to combine them to make a short sequence.
- A “boogie” session where we all dance together and you can show me your new skills!
- A performance in costume from me!
- A special little gift for the Bride-to-be or principal “hen”
Ladies of any age can join in doing as much (or as little) as they wish. Flexible comfortable clothing is all that’s needed although it can be fun to dress up for the occasion in something sparkly and glamorous. Around 6 ladies is a good number. All you need is a space large enough to accommodate you and your friends with a little room to move about in. This could be a large lounge or maybe a conservatory. If you want to involve more than 6 ladies it would be advisable to hire a small hall for comfort and safety. It’s a great idea for you to provide some refreshments for your friends, but for safety reasons it’s best to keep alcohol until after the lesson!
Talk and Demonstration for Group Meetings
My fee £70.00 plus travelling expenses
Belly dance makes an unusual and exciting topic for group meetings.
I have done Talk & Demonstration sessions for groups such as:-
- The Women’s Institute, The Ladies Probus Group, The Townswomen’s Guild
- The Ladies Inner Wheel Group, Village Wives groups
- Breast Cancer Recovery Group, Cardiac Rehabilitation group
- Young Farmers group, Brownies Meeting, Educational sessions for schools
I keep my presentation at an informal level so that your members will feel relaxed The session usually lasts about 50 minutes, but this can be adjusted to suit your requirements My usual schedule will include the following:-
- 2 or 3 performances in costume using different styles of music.
- A talk about my dance background.
- A talk about the history and origins of belly dance.
- A brief fun lesson for some willing volunteers!
(This is not compulsory but usually great fun if a few ladies can be persuaded.)
